The Office of the City Mayor invited the Commission on Higher Education Region V, to participate in the 16th Alay Lakad, Tanim Kahoy Para Sa Puso 2022 to celebrate Legazpi City Arbor Day on Frebruary 14, 2022 at Legazpi City Southern Forestland, Barangay San Francisco. The synchronous tree-planting activity was spearheaded by the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR) and the City Agriculture Office (CAO).
The activity was livestreamed via Zoom and Facebook (Carbon-free Legazpi page) live platforms for an interactive short program and remote view of co-participants assigned I other planting sites.
All participants were advised to bring vaccination card and planting tools and to wear proper planting attire to facilitate this activity in the Mangroves and Forestland ecosystems.
The CHEDRO V participants are Shella May Basco, Jhennes Bondal, Jonalyn Lopez, Ray Vincent Mijares, and Juan Miguel Oliquino who attended the tree planting activity at Legazpi City Southern Forestland, Barangay San Francisco.
